Solutions to Ageing - Liverpool

Do you have an idea that could improve services delivered to older people in Liverpool City Region?

UnLtd, in partnership with Capacity and the Innovation Agency are supporting your new and innovative ideas to revolutionise the experience of ageing in Liverpool City Region.

Solutions for Ageing Liverpool will provide funding and enterprise support to 12 different ventures that seek to transform the way services are delivered to older people; whether that's through enabling people to live in the community for longer or improving the quality of domiciliary, or residential care.

1-to-1 support

To help you take the next step in your journey, we work with you to grow your plans and access the help you need from people who provide specialist support.

Expert advice

We work with a range of specialist advisors to help you tackle difficult challenges. This could include things like legal advice, financial planning or human resource issues.

Resources

We work with social entrepreneurs like you to secure resources (including finance) that will allow you to test new ideas, increase the impact of your venture and grow as an individual

Do you have an idea that.....

  • Helps older people live in the community for as long as possible?
  • Reduces the number of older people attending GPs with social needs?
  • Helps with discharge from hospital care?
  • Improves the quality of care in residential care homes?
  • Offers alternative models of care homes or supported accommodation?  
  • Offers alternative models of domiciliary care?

Criteria

We support individuals who are:

  • Aged 16 or over and living in the UK
  • Not part of an established organisation

To be eligible your idea must:

  • Have a real social impact
  • Fulfil a clear need and demand
  • Have clear outputs and goals
  • Provide a learning experience or opportunity
  • support beneficiaries in the UK

Ideas and ventures are not eligible for an Award if they:

  • Are part of your paid employment
  • Involve political or religious campaigning
  • Involve activities outside of the law or against public policy, or anything that encourages ethnic, religious or commercial disharmony
  • Involve employing people other than yourself to carry out most of the work
  • Are mainly for people to achieve academic qualifications
  • Are to fund living expenses

Spring

Expressions of Interest received on or before: 27 Mar 2018

Final submission date for application documents: 24 Apr 2018

Final decision meeting week commencing: 25 June 2018

Summer

Expressions of Interest received on or before: 1 Aug 2018

Final submission date for application documents: 30 Aug 2018

Final decision meeting week commencing: 29 Oct 2018
